Slowly but surely, the truck stop electrification service “IdleAir” is expanding its terminals across the U.S. The company’s service allows truckers to plug in and access air conditioning, heating, 120V electricity, high-speed internet and DirectTV without having to run their engines.
At the Great American Trucking Show, IdleAir announced that it now operates five dedicated facilities, with plans to open five more carrier-dedicated terminals by early 2015. IdleAir also announced its completion of four Pilot Flying J locations in early 2014. The new terminals can be found in Laredo TX, Robinson TX, Pearl MS and Beaverdam OH.
There are also plans underway for Pilot Flying J facilities in Seville OH, Austintown OH and Latta SC, as well as eight more travel center locations with stops in Kentucky and Alabama.
The new service locations, as well as future additions, will be listed on Hotels4Truckers as well as the MyDAT Trucker app.
